AASC Expresses Appreciation to Donors

Appalachian Agency for Senior Citizens (AASC) thanks the following organizations for their generous donation of canned goods and shelf-stable foods to AASC’s care coordination department: Mad Hatters, Swords Creek Block Church and Tazewell County Commonwealth Attorney.

The food will be distributed to older people served by AASC.

AASC also thanks Woodmen of the World Lodge 404 (Cedar Bluff) and Lodge 433 (Cedar Bluff Youth) for their generous donation of $300 to AASC’s Guardianship Program. Darlene Yates presented Mary Colley with the donation on February 23.

AASC is one of Virginia’s 25 Area Agencies on Aging designated by the Virginia Department for the Aging to carry out the department’s mission to foster the dignity, independence and security of older Virginians by promoting partnerships with communities at the local level.
