WARN YOUR ELDERLY FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS APPALACHIAN AGENCY DOES NOT PRACTICE PHONE SOLICITATIONS!!!

Recently, AASC has been alerted to phony phone calls that could be an attempted scam for personal information being received by area residents appearing to be from Appalachian Agency for Senior Citizens. The report indicated the call was an automated recording saying they were from Appalachian Agency and asks if the recipient wanted to renew their policy. If the recipient does not say anything, the recording will repeat.

Please be aware that these calls ARE NOT from Appalachian Agency for Senior Citizens and if received, you should hang up immediately. Even if caller ID indicates Appalachian Agency for Senior Citizens, AASC does not utilize automated recordings in any fashion to contact citizens.
