Tazewell County Public Library Donates Books
Tazewell County Public Library recently donated a large number of books to Appalachian Agency for Senior Citizens for use in their eight nutrition sites and two adult day care centers.
“AASC is so excited to receive these awesome books for our seniors! We have so many seniors who enjoy reading but simply cannot make it to the library to check out books on a regular basis. This is essentially bringing the library to them and for that we are so thankful” expressed Chase Meade-Patton, Director of Public Relations for AASC.
AASC operates eight nutrition sites throughout the Buchanan, Dickenson, Russell and Tazewell counties that encourage seniors to come together for fun, fellowship and a wonderful meal. The sites are open two days a week in Tazewell, Richlands, Dante, Swords Creek, Clintwood, Clinchco, and Pocahontas. The Grundy Nutrition site is open three days a week. AASC’s Adult Day Care Centers operate in Cedar Bluff and Haysi and are open five days a week.
If you have any questions concerning the nutrition sites or adult day care please contact AASC at 276.964.4915.
