The Tazewell County Board of Supervisors seeks qualified applicants to provide a feasibility study of converting the Falls Mills Elementary School located on Angel Drive in Falls Mills Virginia into an adult day care center and assisted living facility. The report will need to include preliminary designs and costs estimates to bring the building in compliance to applicable building codes, ADA standards and licensing requirements. The RFP will be due on February 7, 2014 to County Administrator’s Office, 108 East Main Street, Tazewell, VA 24651 by 2:00 PM. Any RFPs submitted after this date and time will not be accepted. The county will evaluate the RFPs for the purpose of selecting the responsive and responsible applicant that is determined to be the best value in response to the Request for Proposal.

Work will consist of the following:
  • Provide a preliminary renovation study including cost estimates.
  • Roofing issues and cost estimates.
  • HVAC cost estimates and cost of removing the current heating system.
  • Feasibility and cost estimates for a commercial kitchen meeting Virginia Department of Health regulations.
  • Other information will shared at the pre-application meeting.
