“Whether young or old, it’s vital to maintain a positive social life. I want to help foster this for our seniors in our Community Café’s throughout Buchanan, Dickenson, Tazewell and Russell County. Working together within our agency and the community we can foster these café’s and enhance a place our seniors look forward to going to and encourage their friends to come along as well. A place where hot and of course nutritious and delicious meals are served and games are played. A place where new friendships are made and old friendships are strengthened. And most importantly, a place for our seniors to go and leave feeling full and happy! It’s important for me to ensure our services are reaching as many seniors as possible! ”
Brown is a graduate of Richlands High school and received her Bachelor of Science degree from Radford University in Radford, Virginia in Nutrition and Dietetics in 2011.
Brown lives in Richlands with her husband Jon, a Sheriff’s Deputy for Tazewell County, and sons Logan and Vann. When Brown is not training for an upcoming marathon, she enjoys cooking, baking, and spending time with her family. Together they enjoy hiking, fishing, or watching Grundy Golden Wave wrestling, where Jon helps coach.
