Four County Transit Offers New Work Express Route in Tazewell County
Four County Transit is pleased to announce a new public bus route for Tazewell County.
The route, called Hwy 460 Work Express, serves riders who need transportation to various areas in Tazewell County. The fare is only $0.50 per boarding.
Riders who use the route morning and afternoon spend only $1.00 per day.
At 7:00 a.m., the bus picks up its first riders at Mt. Zion Church in the Divides Area. The next stops include Magic Mart (Tazewell Mall) and
Park-n-Ride (Tazewell Fairgrounds). The bus travels along Baptist Valley Road before making stops at Clifford Christian Church and Wal-Mart
(Pounding Mill). The route ends at 8:00 a.m. at Appalachian Agency for Senior Citizens (Wardell Industrial Park).
The bus follows the reverse route in the afternoon, leaving Wardell at 4:30 p.m. and ending at Mt. Zion Church at 5:30 p.m.
Although the bus cannot deviate from its fixed route, riders may request other stops along the route, including points along Baptist Valley Road
(from Adria Road to Earls Branch Road). To request an additional stop on the Hwy 460 Work Express, please call Four County Transit at least 48 hours
prior to your trip.
